STAR WARS - E.T. - WIZARD OF OZ - STAR TREK - SUPERMAN - THE EXORCIST
For those still not familiar with "Turkish remakes," these are unbelievable films made in Turkey, to be remakes of classic sci-fi, fantasy and horror movies. They usually tell the same story and sometimes are a scene-by-scene rip-off; however, they are done so hilariously poor that they have gained a cult following in America and around the world!
Not only that, but they even unabashedly steal actual scenes and music from the films they are remaking! There is absolutely no regard to copyright or ownership whatsoever, as the filmmakers of these remakes just lift stuff straight from the original film!
But the films themselves...they simply has to be seen to be believed. The costumes, the special effects, they make for a truly unreal film watching experience. It doesn't even matter that the films are not in english (two are subtitled); you can't take your eyes off of it. And you will see elements in the films that reflect the culture of where they were made, adding even more strangeness to the experience!

Badi: The Turkish E.T. - Unbelievably bad, you will see amazing sights in this wicked and wild remake! The ET costume is horrendous, looking like a sloppy garbage bag, and the story of course is followed exactly as in the original. However, as always there will be elements not in the original, such as a mysterious dead dog, a strange dance, E.T.'s "smoking" power, and look what replaces the Reeses Pieces! The "cart flying sequence" as the cart soars over the Turkish landscape is priceless. *** In Turkish language, no subtitles

Turkish Wizard of Oz - Quite possibly the most unbelievable of the Turkish remakes (and that says a lot), this Wizard of Oz features midgets dressed as nutcrackers, Dorothy stealing sneakers off a corpse, animated sequences (where they were just too broke, or lazy, for any FX), a gay scarecrow, meaningless dance sequences, creepy set pieces and so much more, this is truly totally awesome filmmaking! And when they get to the "Wizard"...the film gets even weirder after that if that's even possible! Why do the things that happen, happen? Who knows! If you buy just one of the Turkish remakes, this has to be it! Definitely guaranteed to amaze, shock, and well, make you laugh! *** In Turkish language, no subtitles

Turkish Star Wars - This is one where the story isn't an actual copy of the original film, but there are elements of the original all over, plus plenty of actual footage from the real "Star Wars" ruined! The "princess" is very pretty, and you'll see many things where you will no doubt ask yourself, "huh?" The cheesiest sets and costumes, horrid FX, this is just a complete mess from start to finish, and nothing less than captivating! You'll also hear music stolen not only from "Star Wars" but from "Raiders of the Lost Ark," "Flash Gordon" and more! *** In Turkish language, subtitled in English

Turkish Superman aka Hindu Superman - This one came out in 1979, and begins with a space scene, which is really just Christmas ornaments hanging around a black backround, and from there, that sets the tone for the whole film! Superman dolls fly through the air with scrolling backrounds, the actor hangs from the ceiling, it is kind of like how anyone with no budget would make a Superman film! The set pieces are a wonder to behold, and there's even some real pretty girls hanging around. Superman knows what his X-ray vision is for in this movie! The funny thing is, the actor who plays Superman actually isn't bad, and even looks decent enough in the part. Very wild and enjoyable! *** In Hindu language, no subtitles

Turkish Star Trek - From 1973, a man finds himself right in the middle of a Turkish remake of the Star Trek original series episode "The Man Trap!" Of course, footage is lifted from the real Trek, and there are copies of the Trek characters everywhere. Look at that Kirk and Spock! They even copied the pretty Trek girls! *** In Turkish language, no subtitles

Seytan: The Turkish Exorcist - Made in 1974 immediately after the real thing, "Seytan" is an amazing look at horrible filmmaking! Lots of action here as the little possessed girl does a lot of nasty things! And what's that old man at the end? Very strange! Even the famous "peeing" and "pea soup" scenes are way over the top! Very entertaining rip-off! *** In Turkish language, subtitled in English
